The Òhigh levels of leadÓ referenced in these articles were found in a specific type of artificial turf fields, the old Astroturf fields, NOT in the polyethylene fields installed by our vendor FieldTURF. Our field is a polyethylene Turf field. None of the materials used in our installation include heavy metals. Our turf field does not present any threat of exposure to high levels of lead. Our vendor-FieldTURF is sensitive to environmental issues to protect our children. They recommend and use products that are highest in industry standards Ð those that have been tested and improved over years of testing to assure the safety of our children. The product is 100% lead-free and microbial treated to prevent bacteria. The field comes with a warranty and will be inspected annually.
