The Lakers Sports Club is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation organized and  operated to provide financial support for the athletic programs offered at Mountain Lakes High School. The main purpose of the Lakers Sports Club is to encourage, promote, and assist the athletic programs to benefit the student athletes of Mountain Lakes High School.

Founded in 1965, the Lakers Sports Club helps provide financial support and services to the athletic programs and recognizes the achievements of individual and team efforts. In addition to providing scholarships for student athletes and student scholar athletes, the Lakers Sports Club also strives to address the needs of the various athletic programs at our high school to the extent of its financial ability.

In addition to recognizing individual and team achievements, the Lakers Sports Club (LSC) also provides funding to all sports programs so that they may take advantage of new technology and research in sports training and fitness.

Over the last ten years, LSC has donated in excess of $700,000.00 to the athletic programs which directly benefit the student athletes of Mountain Lakes High School and annually provides grants for the following:

• Plaques for most improved player for each high school team
• Plaques for each member of a team earning a conference, county or state title
• Banners for championship teams
• $1,000 scholarship for each male and female scholar athlete
• $500 scholarship for each male and female outstanding athlete

LSC has recently funded new portable scoreboards and spearheaded the construction of the new state-of-the art turf field.
