Athletic Scholarships

The Lakers Sports Club is pleased to annually provide scholarships to four high school seniors. The Scholarships for Outstanding Male and Female Athletes are determined by the coaching staff, the Athletic Director and the high school administration. The Scholarships for Male and Female Scholar Athlete are determined by the Guidance Department, the Athletic Director, the coaching staff and the high school administration.

Outstanding Male and Female Athlete

This honor is awarded to the Mountain Lakes High School Senior Male and Female athlete who has excelled in athletics over the course of their career at MLHS. The athlete has demonstrated the characteristics of sportsmanship, leadership and achievement. Throughout his/her high school career, this athlete has come to epitomize dedication, perseverance, team spirit and motivation - the ingredients of LAKER PRIDE.

Male and Female Scholar Athlete

This honor is awarded to the Mountain Lakes Senior Male and Female Athlete who not only have excelled in two or more athletic teams over the course of their high school careers, but have demonstrated exceptional scholarship and academic achievement. The athlete has demonstrated the characteristics of sportsmanship, leadership and achievement. Throughout his/her high school career, this athlete has come to epitomize exceptional scholarship and academic achievement, dedication, perseverance, team spirit and motivation - the ingredients of LAKER PRIDE.
